A dilapidated and derelict Grade II Listed building, originally constructed in the late 1700’s, was refurbished and repaired. The property is located in the Duke Street Conservation Area in Ropewalks Liverpool.
The restoration scheme was funded under the Heritage Lottery Fund Townscape Heritage Initiative. The project included reinstatement of the historic stone entrance, which EBC detailed using pre-war photographs from Liverpool Record Office, and assistance from Donald Insall Associates.
EBC also designed all the structural and building fabric repairs, including re-rendering using traditional lime mortar. This project was nominated for a Georgian Society award.
